Adoption Process

The first step in our adoption process is to complete an application. The adoption application can be found on any of our adoptable dogs’ individual pages. Please allow a couple days for your application to process. Once it is reviewed, we will give you a call to discuss further.

If it is determined that we have a dog who may be a good fit for you or your family, we will conduct a vet check and set up a meet & greet with the dog/dogs you are interested in. Once you decide on a dog you would like to adopt, we send a volunteer to your home for a home visit. The home visit is basic and nothing to worry about, however, it is important to us that we are sending our dogs to a safe, compatible home.

Following this, we would schedule the adoption and you will take your new family member home! Our adoption process generally takes about one week from the time you meet the dog you’d like to adopt to the time you would bring your dog home. It is important to us that we are not only finding the best homes for our dogs, but the most appropriate dogs for our adopters. We work closely with you to find the perfect match and are happy to do so for as long as it takes for you to find the right fit.
